Today's question: Most measurements in the English language have a standard abbreviation. Feet is abbreviated to FT, tablespoon is TBSP but one that might not be as obvious is the abbreviation for pound, “LB.” It traces its origin back to ancient Rome, but why do we abbreviate pound to “LB?”
